Narcolepsy Support Group
A sleep disorder (somnipathy) is a disorder in the sleep patterns of a person or animal. Some sleep disorders can interfere with mental and emotional function. If you are having trouble falling asleep or having some other kind of sleep disturbance, this group is for you.
I was just wondering if anyone else has had this sensation or maybe something similar.
The best way to describe it is that I get this jolt or crawly skiddering up my spine, my upper body and arms will jerk and I will gasp for breath when it happens. It's really weird. It doesn't hurt but the action is sometimes more violent then others.

I don't really get the tingly warning, but that full body twitch that makes me gasp happens occasionally. I consider it a minor cataplexy.

I have gotten the sudden jerk thing. Most commonly when I am trying to go to sleep or I have recently woken up. I always thought of it as my body trying to "shake" off and unpleasant emotion or thought. i never thought of it as a minor cat before, but that make perfect sense now. Just one more thing I just thought of as a personal idiosyncrasy that seems to have been a N thing all along.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
