I am in good shape. I'm 40 years old, weigh 115 lbs. (I've lost about 12-15 lbs. since June). Now that I'm a stay at home mom, I've found that I'm much more active then when I was working and I have healthier eating options. I'm doing more (98% of everything) around the house. It's even my job to mow the lawn and stack the firewood. My husband, however, feels that the "magic trick" to help my narcolepsy symptoms is exercise. To be specific, exercise not related to housework or yard work, and something that increases the heart rate for an extended amount of time... I agree that exercise is good when overweight, but he feels I should give up meds and try exercise regularly... (I do play racquetball with my dad on Tuesdays and rock climb twice a month, walk with friends atleast twice a month, plus other things...) Has anyone given up meds and tried "strenuous exercise" as a treatment? He insists I should try this instead of popping pills.
