Myelodysplasia Support Group
The myelodysplastic syndromes (formerly known as "preleukemia") are a diverse collection of haematological conditions united by ineffective production of blood cells and varying risks of transformation to acute myelogenous leukemia. Anemia requiring chronic blood transfusion is frequently present. Although not a true malignant neoplasm, MDS is nevertheless classified...
He and you both are in God's arms and you must know that your in ours as well. Pleasae keep checking in so we know how your doing because we really do care.
God Bless my freind,
Mike
We're all coming out of the woodwork now.
I know it's been a long wait...but know that you will look back warmly on all the time you were allowed to spend with your dad.
I can tell you from experience, right now you remember every detail of these last few months...in a short while, you will only focus on the warm and tender moments and those will be your lasting memories of your father.
Hugs you and your family. This is not the end, but just the beginning of a new and pain free life for your father in heaven.
Blessings to all the Leaky Boat Crew for staying together and showing support for each and every new member and returning old members. I think we'd be amazed to know just how many people log in and read postings or receive them via e-mail ...and yet don't post very often themselves. I bet this thread is very active in the background.
Strength to everyone who reads these posts and deals in one way or another with Myelodysplasia in one form or another.

Gayle & Mocha (and Lou in spirit)
I am still around, tho not as much at the moment. It's been a bugger of a year for us, due to the fact we lost just about everything in the QLD floods. We have no computer let alone internet! We are in a rental atm, waiting for our house to be rebuilt.
My appointment was actually scheduled on the day our house went under, i ended up getting in to see my doc a couple of weeks later. My numbers are going down, but he isn't overly concerned so I don't need to see him until August. Oh, in amongst all of this, my 20yo was (mis)diagnosed with a staph infection in her blood. Thats a long story, but the end result is that she's fine.
I hope this all makes sense, i am sending it from my phone. Best wishes to all.
And don't forget that new life in your family to love & cherish.
It is so good to hear from our crew again. I know that many read but do not post, but we do like to hear from everyone.
Nixmuts, I'm so sorry to hear that you were a casualty of the floods. Weather has been pretty horrible for far too many folks this year.
Take Care,
Janet
Wanted you to know I've been thinking about you. Sorry, I didn't post earlier. Hope you are hanging in there.
Keeping you in my prayers.
