Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a neuromuscular disease leading to fluctuating muscle weakness and fatiguability. The hallmark of myasthenia gravis is muscle weakness that increases during periods of activity and improves after periods of rest. Although myasthenia gravis may affect any voluntary muscle, muscles that control eye and eyelid movement, facial expression, and...
I hope you bounce back very quickly. Only an MGer can visualize and understand the "jelly legs nose dive" and see you laying against the tire of your truck! :-)
I hope you can work out like that! Let's HOPE for the best!

Just part of the journey.
I remember after I had my crisis I was so happy to cook and believe it or not...do dishes for my family.
I cooked and did dishes all weekend.
That Monday I was literally in pain and parts of my arms were numb.
I honestly thought I had permently lost the use of them
Needless to say.....I recovered.
Glad you were able to lift the weights.

I enjoy the feeling of doing again....Kind of like an addiction of sorts...but to something that definitely increases endorphins and good feelings so is hard to stop.
I do best with rests interspersed with activity but the challenge sometimes is remembering to do that when I have a good day.
Hope you recover soon and can have more of the episodes of energy. Mine almost always are in the mornings...Marie

I have applied for a couple jobs and have follow up interviews. The scary part as we all know is can I perform. My resume looks good #%$#%$# MG. That was Navy talk lol
I've had mg for 4 years and am still learning. After 3 years of struggling thru the recession my business is really busy. It's exciting and I love the fast pace, but the truth is, it's not good for my mg or my overall health. So, it's taken me awhile to realize, it's time for me to try to sell it. I'm trying to look at it as being a positive thing. Time for a new chapter in my life to find balance in my life. To explore new options, go to yoga classes , exercise , rest, spend more time with friends and family, volunteer, etc. and work part -time as a consultant.. Right now, even with my mg under control, I only have the energy to work , have dinner and go to bed. My weekends are shopping, cleaning and resting up for the next week.. I'm just thankful that mg is treatable and I have option and choices. My mg isn't going away, but I'm hopeful that these changes will lead to higher quality of life. Things will work out for you. You have a good attitude.

I wish I could figure this out too. It's so very hard to know when you've hit you capacity when you are feeling good.
Oh how I hate the jelly legs nose dive. That's the worst feeling when you were feeling so good before hand. I hope you get your land legs back. Maybe next time cut that time in half so that you don't over do it. Now, if I could just figure out how to follow my own advice... lol.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Sorry to hear you have to deal with it.
I it is hard going to 0 in your life. Eventually you will add things back and you will do so by adding the most important things first. It will get better.
It is just really really slow.
After my thymectomy they said it would take a year or so to feel better.
That sounded like such a long time. They said the same about cellcept,
But I did get a new life and years later actually don't really see the decease that much as bad anymore,
I will admit,,,,many days I look back on my life and remember going up and down steps and carrying kids,,,,but other than that life is good.
You're old life will go but you will have a new one and most likely it will give you more peace.
