I have general mg not well controlled . I use walker with seat in house to save energy and trips ,I use seat so I don't drop things ,make fewer trips room to room. I rarely take it with me due to trouble getting it out of house etc. On w/es I don't use it at home when grandkids are here which is often.today I had drs appointment which involved long trek into ortho office. Can't understand why they took the suite farthest from doors. BUT it was so worth it.has anyone had insurance pay for a 2nd walker, I have medicare primary and blue Cross 2nd. Wish I could use outside all the time ,wish it was lighter.
If you can't get another one covered by insurance maybe you can find a used one online or at a garage sale? Estate sales often have used walkers.
I find I'm using mine more for shopping, especially craft sales. In grocery stores I use a cart and big stores I use a motorized scooter.

I used Craigslist to find inexpensive used hospital bed, a lift chair, a scooter, and other items when my father needed them.
