Well, been checking blood glucose on a regular basis now for 3 days and SURPRISE - the flushing happens when my glucose crashes! 3 for 3 now, when I had bad redface, my glucose was in the 80's !!
Strange since I'm on an average 25mG predisone every morning. I thought prednisone would tend to make me more diabetic, not less?
So, yesterday, when I felt it coming on, I crammed a nasty cheap hotdog down my throat (from a convenience store across the street from my office) and NO FLUSHING!
2 hours later my glucose was back down to 87...I didn't believe the meter, so used a different meter and strips and got 84.
Anyhow, those of you who thought flushing and glucose were related, it seems you were right - but not in the way I expected.
Thanks
