Myasthenia Gravis Support Group
Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a neuromuscular disease leading to fluctuating muscle weakness and fatiguability. The hallmark of myasthenia gravis is muscle weakness that increases during periods of activity and improves after periods of rest. Although myasthenia gravis may affect any voluntary muscle, muscles that control eye and eyelid movement, facial expression, and...

I am new to this form, however you have all given so freely of your time, experiences, and knowledge I gladly give to each and all in need my most positive healing intentions/ thoughts.
How do you thank people for helping to save your life?
My is always going out to my family here on DS.
I am keeping track of the things my friends ask for... and hope you feel my love and support!
Love forever,
Becca
ps. this post! Thanks for bringing on the water works Kimber ;)
When I use that old Quaker phrase, I mean that I am with her in her difficulties and triumphs and uncertainties. (People with MG know only too much about uncertainty.) There are others of you, I think of in that intense way. I usually tell you, but sometimes I just do it anyway, hope you don't mind.
A physician speaking of caring for those with AIDS, reminded us that healing can come without cure, and although we will not all experience full remission we can all hope for healing.
I hope for healing for each one of you, the ones I know best , the ones most in need, and the ones that are struggling--which pretty much covers the field, but if I don't know you well, and you are not in need or struggling, get healed, too. And if you get healing and cure, I sure won't mind.

I may not respond to every post but I read each one and think of each of you daily.

Most of you don't know why I call her Bee. If you have a Bee in your hand, then what do you have in your eye. Beauty, because beauty is in the eye of the Beeholder. All that she see's and does is beauty.
And all the rest of you too numerous to mention. I wish you strenghth and comfort and peace and charity and light and love and all that is good. I wish you a safe holiday tomarrow and our country a happy birthday. I am grateful to be free. What a wonderful post!!!!! love, carla
I spend a part of each day sending what I hope translates into positive energy out to the universe. Some days it's only momentary thoughts and other days it's 20 minute meditations.
To everyone in the MG family, more peace and blessings are on the way.
Pass it on.

So much of what I read I take away and try and incorporate in my day,
There might be ways in which I can manage my MG better or just ways I can pass on positive thoughts and love to my life and those around me.
So a big "like" to what has been written already.
I wish everyone good health, inner peace and happiness. Gez xx
We all need positive thoughts, so I am sending positive thoughts to everyone on this site along with huge hugs and lots of love. Also a great appreciation of the most awesome group of people I have met here on DS.
Cathy

My first shout-out: is to you, Kimber!
Just when spirits seem low here? Me, included?
You always jump in, with a big-hug like this!
Those of you, who I talk with - on a regular basis?
I'll post again, to say Thank You!
You know - I love you guys! You have changed my life!
Tonight, I'd like to give a shout-out: to two people.
Joe Fodor, and Marty Teitel.
I met Joe last summer, almost by luck. I take that back, actually.
If you knew my sister-in-law Mary, who introduced Joe to me?
Well ... Mary doesn't leave much to chance!
Joe introduced me to this support-group.
Joe was the first MG'er I ever met.
Full of courage himself, Joe gave me hope - and terrific advice.
Joe also gave to me: all of you wonderful, wonderful friends!
(And All Of You? Rescued me - from a life of despair & loneliness.)
Marty Teitel was the 2nd MG'er I ever met.
I met Marty on DS, about a month after I first joined our group.
Marty is the original bright wit.
A deep thinker, who is also quick with a joke.
(''Not many MG'ers in our zip code, huh Ross?'')
Marty is a man who faces life, full-speed ahead.
And he's too smart - to say ''damn the torpedoes''.
He'd say: ''Evasive Maneuvers: put those torpedoes in our wake.''
Marty was so encouraging to me! (During one of the hardest times of his life.)
Thank you, Joe. Thank you, Marty.
Your positive attitude, in coping with major illness?
Your example - turned my life around.
Since I met you? There has been - no going back for me.
The bad days are gone. The good days are here.
(In my head anyway, if not in my body.)
- Ross
