Before meds I bit the inside of my lip quite often. i thought it was because I ate too fast and then once on Mestinon I realized I wasn't doing it anymore.

Ouch! I don't but can see where it would happen.

Yes I do and the inside of my cheeks to sometimes when you are very weak try not to eat food that requires to much chewing. Take care Theresa

Cheeks, tongue, lips. Before mestinon, I bit myself many times. This symptom seemed to go with poor swallowing and chewing. I really haven't had a problem since I started taking mestinon.

Becca: funny that you mention gum. I thought I would never chew gum again!!! However, I can completely chew gum. This was one of the last things I could do as i was becoming less symptomatic. i bet it will happen for you as well !!!

Yes!! Especially the cheeks and having lichen planus, which is another one of those associates that runs around with MG, doesn't help one bit. b.

yes i have been biting my tongue and cheeks more often lately. Having a little relapse with mg.
I am also having difficulty walking. I either wobble or just stand trying to get my legs to listen to my brain and move. My husband and I have wondered if it is mg or lower back problems. I do have mild lower back pain, and I do have more problelms walking after I have been sitting for some time. I have already had a cervical disc fusion and have degenerative disc disease in practically all of my spine. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes. Sometimes I feel as though I'm going to bite down on the food and get my tongue.
