Thought I'd run this past you guys -
My DW and I have been limiting our exposure to others since March 10th.
We are in a safe one bed-room appartment with the Kids close-by for support.
I am scheduled for blood tests and also have 3 concurrent IVIGs this next week.
Would it be prudent to push the tests for a couple/few weeks?
If I did push the IVIGS what physical stuff might I expect?
BTW - We are gitting out often to walk.
Your thoughs would be appreciated.

When I go to Mayo Clinic (a giant place) for visits, I always see a few folks walking around with the masks -- and I guessed they had immune system suppression.
I always liberally use the hand sanitizer placed all over and try to keep my hands in my pockets and not pickup the magazines or touch the computer kiosks and check in by my phone.
The blood getters always put on new gloves so I think that is pretty safe. Hands and air are the two obvious ways we can get infected.
We live on a farm in the country where it is easy to be isolated and as maple syrup season is well underway here in NW Wisconsin, we are very busy and don't miss the interactions with others in person. And we have a 1949 outhouse still on the farm but missing the Sears and Roebuck catalog ;-)
I did postpone my tests in early April at the clinic but as I am in MG remission, the tests were not critical, just osteoporosis, thyroid, testosterone levels, PSA and a few others for ongoing stability at age 73.

Just completed my 3 days of IVIGs.
I did contact my Primary and Neuro. The Primary deferred to the Neuro.
I was assured that the Neuro would call me last Friday, but it did not occur. I was told that they have been very busy. I am not pleased with the response but I do have choices. We chose to go to the IVIGs and pushethe blood tests for a while.
I arrived at the Infusion Lab Monday morning, and was told that my appt. had been cancelled.
I did chat with the nurses and they ordered my "Juice" and got the infusion going.
My wife could not escort me into the hospital and, being a bit unsteady, was escorted to the infusion lab and my wife waited in the car.
Pre-screening was occurring including the taking of everyone's temp prior to entry to the building. All had gloves and masks.
The lab was half full - a number of others had cancelled.
In retrospect, we were damned if we did or damned if we didn't.
I am glad that I was able to have this infusion as now I am set for 2 months before I have to make that trip again.
BTW - I did have a mask and kept my hands in my pockets - as much as possible and kept my fingers and toes crossed. I did have nitrile gloves to put on if required. Also washed my hands numerous times and utilized sanitizer when available.
The unfortunate thing about all of this is that there is very little testing going on. Only those that have a temperature, cough and stuff are routed for further testing. Soooooooo, there were probably people around that were infected but the infection was not detectable and they may have transmitted this virus to others - hopefully not me.
We will continue to to limit our exposures to others and hope for the best.
