Was wanting to know if anyone here has had a Muscle Biopsy or a Spinal Tap to check for any other thing besides MG. A few weeks ago I went to the local University the Neurologist I am seeing now had 4 blood test done they came back inconclusive. But two years ago I tested positive for MG and have shown all the symptoms of MG and it has also generalized. They are not saying I don't have MG but they want to check for other things. Thanks for any ideas someone out there may have.

Please go to the links page to check out the info on antibodies for MG with CNS involvement. Spinal fluid is required for that. We can have more than just MG, and spinal fluid can help differentiate and confirm some other things.

having a spinal tap is how I got my diagnosis for MG...had mri's, ct scans, barrium swallow test and then the spinal tap....and here I am!

Thank you Cindy sometimes it gets really confusing I just like to try and keep up with what they are thinking. They are not really good at giving you information guess they think we wouldn't understand.

Thinking of you Bear. No muscle biopsy here - had tap.. got a headache ...drank lots of coffee afterwards MT cream...didn't confirm or deny MG.

At the bottom right hand corner of the main discussion page there is a listing of member groups. One is a Members' Group for Links and News. Right now there are three pages. I usually bump the introduction up about once every week or two, but anyone could do it. I will do that now. b.
