i am sero negative------neurologist set me up with a physiotherapist who administered a test that i had never had before-------first she attached electrodes to my wrist and hand two on each with opposite polarity-----the computer it was connected to gave me an electrical shock 10 times in a row-----waited 30 seconds and then another 10 times------my hand would jump off the table with each shock and each series of 10 was done 5 times--------then she connected the electrodes to my left shoulder and my left neck in close proximity-------10 times my shoulder jumped so high i thought i was going to fall off the exam table----this too was supposed to be done times 5, however, she stopped after series of first 10 saying there was no doubt i had MG and it wouldn't be of any benefit to continue with the test------this decision probably had something to do with the fact i would yelp each time i was electrocuted-----in all fairness though she said even the biggest man reacts the same with a yelp and a jump of the part attached-------she told me the name of the test but since i didn't write it down i forgot it------anybody been through this?------though i've been dxed with MG for over two years this is the first test that has come up positive------mastinon has worked great for me------esp my double vision and general weakness. thanks for listening my fellow MGers-----huggables sharon
