You should be cautious about dropping your MG meds too quickly as the results of a thymectomy can take a year or more to be realized and sometimes much longer for maximal effect according to the MG foundation information.
Hope things turn around quickly for you
Good Luck
Thank you! I hope so too :D

Thanks so much :) yeah i immediately had trouble when my mestinon was tapered down :( im going to try to taper it down again in a few months
I was put on Mestinon and it worked like a charm-only for about 3 months. Next, I had my Thymus removed (Thymectomy) and immediately after my Thymus was removed. all of my symptoms stopped. Today, 2015, I have been in remission for 27 years! I take no medications for MG at all. I do get tired, and I love naps. They say that being tired is not a general symptom of MG, but I say that general tiredness is indeed a symptom and if you need to, take a nap!! It does me good. Today, I am at work, and am feeling extremely tired but feel guilty to leave work just because I am tired. Any thoughts? Thanks :)
wow remission for 27 years!! thats amazing! Im so happy for you :D and you experienced the results of the thymectomy immediately, thats awesome
I feel you, lol. We shouldnt overwork ourselves but sometimes it's just so hard not to, especially when we have alot to do.
