It's been several weeks since I had stem cell therapy. I'm hoping it will help me get off prednisone. So far it's only helped my MG a little - better breathing. I was told it may take months to help more. However, It has cleared up my skin and relieved minor arthritis. I'm wondering if anyone else has tried it.
I am curious about your stem cell therapy. I have read a few places where this is being tried -- but was not aware of it happening in the USA.
Is there a link to the program you are in? Would you tell us a little more about what and how it works?

I thought I'd let you all know that I just had stem cell therapy last April 7. This therapy has been in use quite a while in Europe and Asia. In the last few years a number of places in the US are now doing it. I'm hoping it will help treat my Myasthenia Gravis.

Among other things, they mention

I don't know how they count the cells, but Dr. Gionis told me my count was 2.5 million - so I'm hopeful.
Had not heard of this either.
