Has anyone ever had plastic surgery on their droppy eye? I was diagnosed with MG last september. In the morning my right eye is closed completely until it take my 90 mg of Pyridostigmine. About one hour later the eye is about half way open. That's the best it gets all day long.
My eye surgeon claims he can make a sling for the eye lid and it will look more normal. I was wondering if anyone else has every had this done.

Run it by your neuro, make sure she is on board & I hope your surgeon is well versed in everything MG.
I've gotten used to my droop...it's almost sexy...but not quite.

My ptosis went away with prednisone, but before that the eye specialist told me about eye lid braces/crutches and surgery, including surgery for double vision.
Problem is that with MG the symptoms are often variable and may go into remission, so surgical correction might end up creating a problem (especially anything to adjust eye muscles for double vision).
Did you see Hillary Clinton is wearing a stick on prism on her left eye glass lens? It is from her concussion. Hers has vertical lines (a fresnel lens). My stick-on has horizontal lines to bring the image from one eye down to match the level of the other eye. Didn't work very good as the double vision was too variable--the correction worked once in a while but most of the time was too much or too little.
