OK so SoulWife and others here have brought up a point that I would like to explore further. Does anyone here have ONLY MG?

Certainly not me. I was reading and found on multiple sites that the top 2 additional disorders (primarily in women) are Thyroid (Hyper & Hypo) and arthritis (primarily rheumatoid). But the other disorders are commonly any one of the 80 or so autoimmune disorders.

As a matter of fact I can't remember anyone saying that they only have MG whether the other disorders are autoimmune or not.

So does anyone only have MG?

When 20 developed Hashimoto's aslo gall bladder disease......Not long after developed Raynauds....then both small and large fiber neuropathy so some autonomic dysfunction. I have SICCA syndrome and apnea. Aging now so osteoarthritis. Newly diagnosed with neurojunction disorder and very responsive to pyridostigmine.

It is really interesting I was diagnosed at 30 with politic arthritis(the autoimmune arthritis associated with psoriasis) and soon after diabetes I had psoriasis and asthma since i was a child The dermatomyositis came at 46 and now MG. So I don't think age is a factor. I just wonder why Im so susceptible to autoimmune diseases...and if any of the treatments, like the biologics I've used increase my susceptibility or is it just a poor genetic hand. Its all very interesting to me

Hi, castlemans disease, lichen planus and lupus. Castlemans and Mg together are very rare per my Dr.

My first post to the group and I was wondering this myself. I am 38 and have seronegative MG. At the same time the neuro did all the tests for MG he found a hurthle cell tumour on my thyroid, so I had two thirds of my thyroid removed. Before the diagnosis I had also been having really awful 'moments' which no doctor understood or investigated - I thought I was going crazy!. Turns out after having an EEG I was having seizures! Now on Mestinon and two types of epilepsy meds and (aside from the side effects of the meds) feel like I have a life again.

Diabetes Type 1 at 24, Overactive thyroid at 42; MG at 43; Neurological Lupus without any lupus symptoms at 50; uncontrolled movements due to autoimmune system attacking movement part of brain at 51. Enough at the moment but sure to be more to come.

I am under 40 (since someone mentioned age), have MG, Raynauds, celiac/gluten intolerance, and some sort of other muscular disorder (was dxd with fibromyalgia years ago, but I don't think that's it). I have begun having joint pain, esp in my fingers and toes. Woohoo. And I take only prednisone for my MG. Nothing else worked. Oh and MG was the last to arrive...

I wish I only had MG to deal with.
Here's my list:
Pseudotumor cerebri (treating for over 2 years now)
Endometriosis
Uveitis/Scleritis (resolved for now)
POTS
Fibromyalgia
B12/D3 deficiency (hyperparathyroid resolved!)
Cortisol issue (still investigating)
Spondolysis
Equinus/foot drop/ankle contracture
Hiatal hernia/reflux

I think I got 'em all. Life is still very good.
God is in control no matter what happens with the "systems". :)
