Are you on Prilosec?? I have horrible acid reflux if I don't take my Prilosec. I also have esophageal spasms which is a horrible tightening under the breastbone and it radiates to my back. It's like a panic attack. I am also on Xanax for that. It has to do with your meds.
Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply! You are so right these meds could burn a hole in an elephants gut! I am on nexiam which is a similar drug to losec. Even on it I experience the reflux though and that's why I was wondering if it was something more than just the drugs causing the problems. Perhaps not? Luckily I don't get the spasms, those sound hectic sorry! Ange
I have been taking nexium for the last year with good results. If I forget it in the morning I have heartburn by afternoon if I eat anything, and I mean anything. It's hard to imagine getting heartburn from yogurt. I'll be watching to see how many others have reflux. Interesting.

I don't have acid reflux, but apparently I have gastritis of unknown origin. The docs can't find anything wrong with my gut, but it is inflamed. Apparently, my stomach also spasms and I have anti-spasmodics for this. I'm not on a lot of MG meds because I don't have an official diagnosis yet, but have been told by a neuro-nurse that MG can cause GI symptoms. I don't know how true that is, but it is an AI disease so it does make some sense. I take Zantac, Kapidex, and Prilosec. You should talk to your doc about getting some of these. It takes a while, but they really do help.
Best wishes,
Lindie
