MY JAWS R GETTING TRIED AGAIN AND I INFORMED. MY DR THAT I WAS GOING BACK TO SOFT FOODS.SOUPS, BOOST AND ENSURE AGAIN. HE SAID THAT'S KOOL NO DANGER OF MG.CRISIS. WHAT U GUYS. THINKING?

When I have trouble swallowing or my jaws get tired of chewing, pureed foods seem to be better for me than liquids.I really like crunchy food and what you mentioned to eat , I would not be able to do for long. Good Luck. ya gotta do what ya gotte do. I would also suggest another opinon.

I awakened today with difficulty swallowing and holding my head up. Every day I seem to get a different symptom. Because I still have a G tube, I decided to use it. I haven't used it to eat in 3-4 weeks and it's supposed to be taken out in two weeks. It's just depressing.

I'm waiting for IVIG to be approved by insurance. Hopefully, that will help.

Yes, getting that IVIG should definitely help.

You need that relief Marvin. If you are having things become more difficult for you, especially regarding breathing, choking etc, don't hesitate to go to the ER....

Hang in there, and try to put some pressure on the insurance, if possible. If it is a legal matter, you might be able to get some free legal aid in getting a lawyer to make a phone call etc...

Another great subject. It is so hard for me to know when I should go to ER. My neuro told me that I should go if I am on CPAP and still feel like I can not get a good breath. Last time this happened, the doc in ER would not call my neuro and would not admit me and I was to weak to argue. I did wind up OK, but was in bed on CPAP for 3 days. I don't know about you, but the thought of going into crisis is frightening to me and still at the same time I HATE going to hospital. I wish we had some better answers.
