I’m in the same boat as your girlfriend. If you read online EMG does not detect mild cases yet neurologists use it to say you have no symptoms. They don’t give you the single fiber EMG because they know it will be positive having the antibodies. You can’t stop that stuff abruptly either it has to be tapered down. They have these set rules if your not weak everywhere you can’t have symptoms. Mine said you can’t be just short of breath it would come with slurred speech and weak jaw ptosis which I don’t have. Don’t know how old she is but ask her if symptoms track with her cycle.. sorry guys...because fluctuating hormones and vitamin deficiencies also have similar symptoms.

soryy to hear what is going on with your girlfriend, as mg is the most deciving auti inmune desease, you ahve to take your destiny on your own, they are 4 degrees if mg, and you will ahve to find the right gm neuro whom is very undesrtandin of this desease, and you will only find hem/her by having extensice coversations where you can find the right neuro,
my mg unfortunatly is the worst classification, so you have to use lots of logic and commun sence since most of the time you are on your own,
as i know we are own own doctor, practitioner and executive of our own lifes

Hey I too live in Massachusetts my neurologist is in Concord Mass he works out at Emerson Hospital his name is dr. Moore my experience with him so far has been excellent you can check him out if you like I don't know if he's taking new patients or not

I just in rock in a hard place. I been going to pharmacies try get her samples just to get by. That's now getting hard. Has no prescription. If anyone can help me and donate some mestinon til her shipment comes in that would be awesome and helpful. Thank you

I know your girlfriends in a tough place but you are asking this group to do something illegal by giving or selling you medication without a prescription.
You need to go to the emergency room if she’s in distress. They take you regardless if you can pay or not.

If one has a positive blood test, then an emg test is not needed to diagnose MG -- the blood test is enough. No neurologist would ignore an ACHR positive test. If you have the test results (you can request them from the clinic/hospital and they are required to give them to you), and they say positive, then go to that hospital's ER with the test results in hand, and tell them that without mestinon your girlfriend is in distress. That gets a different doctor involved. Also tell them that it started when mestinon was stopped.
