Russ
I had obvious MG symptoms for over 20 years but went undiagnosed because I am seronegative and also negative on regular EMG. It wasn't until I found a specialist in MG that I was absolutely diagnosed through single fiber EMG. I am a woman, and maybe it is coincidence, but the female doctors I have seen never suggested that my symptoms are psychosomatic. I was feeling as if I were a Rorschach test for male doctors' issues with women.

Your symptoms sound almost exactly like mine. I am hopefully having a single fiber EMG soon. I do get muscle stiffness and jerks. I do respond to Mestinon but I do not yet have a diagnosis. Good luck and please keep me posted of your progress and diagnosis.
