Myasthenia Gravis Support Group
Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a neuromuscular disease leading to fluctuating muscle weakness and fatiguability. The hallmark of myasthenia gravis is muscle weakness that increases during periods of activity and improves after periods of rest. So I see how stress could do this too. I know it's a bit backwards from most but
If i know I have a andrenaline type of thing comming up emotional or physical, I have a 2 hour mestinon window to clear before I go into it.
or
Im a twitching mess!
I'm also having (only over the past few days) what I can only describe as an internal cold shiver. Like that creepy goose bump feeling on your skin. But it feels like it starts in the muscle nearest the bone working it's way out toward the skin but never makes it to the surface. Is that totally weird?

No one knows your symptoms, better than you.
Whether it involves - higher Mestinon dosages?
Or it involves - lower Mestinon dosages.
Like MG?
Mestinon tolerance - seems a very individual thing

BUT I had twitching of a variety of muscles several years before diagnosis.
Before I had a diagnosis I had prism glasses and as my eyes adjusted to each change in prism or even just an eye exam my eyes would twitch and water. I have always considered the twitching part of the MG but maybe I am wrong....
I too have the cold shivers--usually on my left thigh then sometimes down the right side of my head. Weird.
The twitches seem to be somewhat reduced. The "shivers" have definitely reduced. Sunday I rested. The only thing I did was water the sod in the front lawn and move the sprinkler around in the back. The body felt better but the brain not so much so. I know I shouldn't feel guilty or bad about laying around but I just can't get around it. Still tired though. I have several small projects that I am going to try and do but I will have muscle help. Other than that I will try and take it easy some more. Feels like just sitting at the keyboard makes me tired. Normally when I am on here I am using a tablet that I can have with me in bed or on the couch.
Lojos - glad to hear that we aren't completely unique in that aspect. Wonder if we were both over doing it?
