Myasthenia Gravis Support Group
Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a neuromuscular disease leading to fluctuating muscle weakness and fatiguability. The hallmark of myasthenia gravis is muscle weakness that increases during periods of activity and improves after periods of rest. Although myasthenia gravis may affect any voluntary muscle, muscles that control eye and eyelid movement, facial expression, and...
Prescriptions and traditional medicine sure have their place, but some of these "physicians" are too quick to whip out their script-pad, when a natural method may be more affordable/effective. Too many physicians are clearly beholden to Big Pharma.
FOOD IS MEDICINE.
Thanks Again!!!!!
MG Ohio - I agree. The old saying, "You are what you eat."
angela82 - That's interesting that you tried the MLM. I briefly looked at their plan and skimmed lightly over the products the other day. I didn't research the price or ingredients.
When I bought mine I went for the bulk leaf powder by Herb India, currently $17.99 for a pound on Amazon, and started with 4 oz of oil by Dr. Adorable at about $11.00. Then we ordered 32 oz at a little over $30. We have used about 1/8 of the 4 oz bottle so far, and that includes my wife taking it to get a massage with it yesterday. The Masseuse said that it really soaks in and mixed it with her oil. I think soaking in is good if you're trying to lubricate arthritic joints.
I ordered 100 seeds from a grower in Nevada on Etsy for a little over $7 including shipping and currently have a little grove of Moringa trees (about 20) growing in my sun room. Hopefully, we will be able to harvest some fresh green leaf soon. I figured with 100 seeds I could experiment a lot and still get some to live. One of the YouTubes said that ten mature trees will feed a family of four, but they didn't explain what they meant by that. Moringa trees will withstand a slight frost, but a hard freeze will kill them, so I'm growing them in 5 gallon buckets, four plants to a bucket at the present time. I'll have to figure out what to do as they get bigger and how to winter over. There are lots of ideas on YouTube, etc.
I don't know how long a 1 lb bag of leaf powder will last, but I am guessing about a month. Yesterday I had to take a trip in the hot weather, so I took the usual 1/2 teaspoon full in the morning and another 1/2 teaspoon full before going out in the heat. It really helped!
Usually,I just fill a water bottle about 1/8 full, put in a few drops of juice concentrate for flavor, put the Moringa powder in, and shake it vigorously. Then I just drink it down, add a little more water shake it again to get the Moringa that stuck to the sides, and drink that. Then rinse the bottle. Of course there are lots of YouTube videos with ways to cook with it, make smoothies, etc. A lot of them are for Indian dishes and my wife and I love Indian food.
The podcast (very long and quite technical, but very interesting IMO):
