My mg is gone. I know based on all we know that this is impossible but it really is gone, How did this happen I' sure you are wondering but it is quite simple - God's loving power. I know that that there are those of you out there that either don't believe in God or His Son or that miracles like this happens. If you are one of those people you don't need to read any further but I hope that you do. I'm not what you would call an extremely religious person. I don't go to church or read the Bible every day or pray every day. But, I do believe in God and that Jesus is His Son. I also believe that God never lies and keeps His promises. When He promises that He will answer our prayers as long as we believe Jesus is His Son and that we believe in our heart that He will keep His word then we will have our prayers answered. The following is a description of what happened and what I did.
I was diagnosed with mg almost 2 years ago. I was having severe breathing difficulty, choking on large quantities of mucous, and was so weak that I couldn't even hold up my owmy husband had tgo hold it up). I was in and out of the hospital 6 times last year. The neuro tried just about everything to get the mg under control but nothing worked. His last straw was to use rituxinab, a chemotherapy tratment. The only problem was the insurance company was giving us a hassle and wasn't going to pay for it. We appealed it and they finally approved the treatments I got a tooth infection so he couldn't give me the treatments until the tooth was taken care of. It took 4 months for the dentist and neuro to determine the best ourse of action as far as anesthesia and to finally pull the tooth.
When the doctor I first gave me the diagnosis ofmg I didn't think much of it since my poddle had t and with his mestinon he led a normal life and went into remission after 3 years.
It didn't take long for me to realize that I wasn't going to have the same results that Benjie (my poodle) had. I started praying to God to heal my body of this horrible disease. As I continued to get worse I just kept praying for God to heal me.
About a year after I was diagnosed I heard my husband talking to someone about some scritures in the Bible reminded me of Danie. Daniel had been pryaing to Gd for 20 days waiting for an answer. On the 21at day he asked God why he wasn;t answering his prayer as His Word promises. God responded by telling Daniel that He heard Daniel's prayer on the first day but that Satan had gotten in the way. God sent His angels do that Daniel would receive his answer to his prayer.
That is when I realized that God had already ansered my prayer for healing but that Satan was blocking my ability to experience God's great healing. So, rather than continuing to ask for God to heal me I began thanking Him for his great love and healing even though I hadn't experienced the lealing yet. I knew that Satan was trying to make me believe that God had not kept His word to answer my prayer. Afterall, faith is believing in that which you cannot see and I believe in God and His great powers and His promise to answer prayer.
Last fall I was so bad that I could barely get out of bed and was sleeping 29 hours a day. I couldn't swallow so I would put ice in my mouth and let the melted ice run down the4 back of my throat. I couldn't take my medication because I couldn't swallow the pills. I haven't taken any of my mg medication since last October (except for the prednisone). I stopped taking the prednisone a month ago.
I had an infection that had been making me so sick. Once I got over the infection I started feeling great That is when I finally experienced God's healing of my mg. It has been over a month now since the infection was cleared up and I still have no symptoms of the mg have appeared/ I know in my heart that God healed my body of mg and that it won't be rearing it's ugly head ever again.
This just goes to show that even if we don't go to church all the time, or pray every single day, or study our Bible every day that God still loves us and answers our prayers (just remember that sometimes the answer is yes and simetimes it is no). All we need to do is believe in His great powers, that Jesus is His son, and that He does answer your prayers.

What I had been trying to convay is that remissions are quite common (about 5-10%) at the end of a course of prednisone but that they can be short lived so that it is wise to keep your medicaments to hand and not to throw them away.
