In my weekly search for new research on MG, I ran across this study fully readable at this site.

The researchers looked at levels of stress, depression and compared that with MG getting worse from a baseline and then 6 months later.
The generally held idea that flares can be preceded by stress and or depression was born out.
And they remark that doctors and patients should attempt to treat depression and lower stress. Whether it is a cause and effect is not addressed (i.e. does MG create depression and stress in us or are we worse because of that coming from other causes). In any case, depression and stress are associated with more flares, something we probably all agree is obvious from our own point of view.

More than a few what if's and maybe's in that paper I feel. I guess the figures for MG are probably about right 1 in 4 being relapsers and the rest considered to be stable or better? In the current climate of snowflakes and such - won't even go there, I'm not too sure what the purpose of such research is? To my mind it comes across as a student exercise rather than research - but we all have to start somewhere?
