I can relate. I have actually worried about my memory loss and my word recall is horrible. It is actually better after plasma exchange but it is still there. You made me laugh with writing GM instead of MG....it is so typical of what I do. I will even try to edit what I write and still don't see my mistakes.
I would love to hear anyone's comments on this topic.

Definitely have issues with memory loss but sometimes only know it when a family member says " i told you that yesterday" Typing has never been good and i use a laptop with touch pad. i look at the keys when i type and not the screen. I often send off chat responses to my daughter that make little sense. She sends back that my fingers are being crazy again. I just corrected 6 typos in this post. At least now I can usually laugh about it.

I am glad you guys mentioned this; I truly thought I was in early stages of Alzheimer... It also seems that the whole last year is a blurr...

I have never heard of any link between MG and Memory Loss. Other factors can obviously make memory loss happen like stress, and anxiety medications like Xanax or other meds also. I cannot claim such things happening personally either. I would like to see some information that says otherwise. Until then, I will be in the camp that says MG itself does not cause memory loss.

I did find that people with Lupus have been found to have memory loss(brainfog):

I think I'm too young to have age related memory loss and I don't have lupus or take xanax or anything of the sort so I have to think, since this all began about the time the MG symptoms got worse, that it is related in some way. Like many other things we experience, not everything that is MG gets attributed to MG. I always say my backspace button gets more of a workout than any other key on my keyboard. In fact I don't even realize I've hit backspace to correct things until after it's corrected, lol. Word recall, let's not even talk about that. What a nightmare. Especially when I'm talking to someone at work, looks bad. :-O

I have seronegative MG, diagnosed May 2010, thymectomy August 2010. Who knows how long it's been brewing. I take mestinon, 90mg every 4 hours and timespan at night, IVIG every three weeks for one day.

I feel that my typos are not due to memory loss but my fingers not get the right nerve /muscle response. That often the letters are all there but order gets mixed up because the fingers are not reponding in the correct order. or that i hit the letter next to the one I meant to hit because the movements aren't as fine tuned. One of the common errors is that when I want a i often hit caps lock and I look up and i have been typing in caps. at least my unedited stuff usually only goes out in chats to my daughter so it end up being funny.

Pat, I agree wholeheartedly about the reason for typos. Sometimes it's worse than others. When I am tired and text sometimes I think I pushed a letter (blackberry tiny little keyboard) and I didn't. I send some crazy messages, lol. At least it's not just me.
