You could have Graves. It is familial. My brother has it, but I drew the hypo card. I had thyroiditis with multinodular goiter, and it stopped working long before I had it removed. The thing is, you can have hyperthyroid while your thyroid is struggling, and then end up being hypo. That's kind of like its dying breaths. I had a lot of episodes of hyperthyroidism before my thyroid finally deserted me.
I had the thyroid problems before I had a myasthenia and blamed all my symptoms on that until it became apparent there was more going on than just thyroid.

Welcome to the group! Hope you find help and support here. We are a friendly bunch of MG'ers.
MG is complicated because it is so often accompanied by other immune system problems and conditions. The diagnosis is difficult for teasing out all of these and getting a treatment plan that works for everything.
That said, many of us get this figured out reasonably well and get on with life and do well.
