i received a caring bridge notification that our dear Marvin passed this afternoon.

The family said he was ready and he went peaceful.

They will up about the services later.

Holding that sweet family in the light and prayers.

I did not know him but ended up following his carebridge because of an encounter. His family is on my mind. People are never really ready for the finality of loss. I hope their memories of him sustain them.

Marvins illnesses gave those of us who knew him here as well as those who met him in actuality time to say thank you and good bye, I never knew anyone who faced hardship with the same optimism. It was a part of him that hardly ever failed and as we worried about despondency, he reminded us that he enjoyed lifes challenges. His optimism allowed him to face most of those challenges without fear, although he knew when he needed to run. But, as there is no place to run from ALS, he showed us how a brave man faces adversity and mortality. He was a remarkable man. b.

One of the many blessing in my life I feel was meeting and having Marvin as my friend.
He will truly be missed but will also be an inspiration to keep on keepin on!
