Eventually, I relapsed again and begin taking prednisone along with mestinon. It took a good two months to get adjusted to it. It was trial and error. I begin with 40 mg of prednisone a day and worked down the dosage under doctor orders. Eventually I was down to 20 mg a day and was able to stabilize.
Every 3-4 years I have a relapse but its usually triggered by high stress levels because stress throws your cortisone levels off severely and is a big trigger.

For the double vision I use an eye patch. You have to also have a good support system to help keep you calm and your stress low. Light exercise helps build your body back up. It will be a challenge until you get a little stronger. Prednisone makes me sweat a lot and I have restless nights a lot. Garlic pills usually get me through the night or melatonin pills. If you need to rest dont be afraid.
