IVIG tomorrow

Well I go for my first of 5 treatments the next 3 days and then next week for 2 days. I guess wish me luck, and I know plenty of water and some headache pills I hope they don't expect me to watch soaps on TV. If anyone has any more advice please do. And I get to see that pretty new Neuro I have but my pretty wife will be with me too! To be honest now that I think of it all the girls in there were pretty the only ugly one was the male doctor go figure!!!

Hey Bear good luck tomor!! I never had IVIG. You could go to the top just above your post where it says search discussions type ivig in that space and hit search for previous discussions on it. Take books , i-pads,puzzle books etc. or maybe a camera to take pictures of all those pretty ladies!! Ha Ha!! enjoy!!

good luckk.. I had ivig for a year, they came to my home... I usually slept as the bendryal I was given made me sleepy.. lol lots and lots of water...

Drink, drink, drink. My doc makes me do caffeine, too. I just finished two days today (home infusion). Slept all darn day, but still am sleepy so shower and bed for me.

Hi Bear - Just came off of round 11 of IVIG. Fluids, tylenol, my favorite quilt and entertainment are ususally what I need. I'm happy to say out of 33 treatment days only 2 have been really miserable - the rest have been good. I actually get caught up on work at times - as there is not a constant stream of colleagues through the infusion center. Currently - IVIG is what is working for me. Take Care and Hugs from the heart

If you have a tablet of any sort take it. My infusion clinic has wifi so I can watch videos or surf the web on my kindle. They block socail networking sites so no DS browsing. A good book or magazine and your favorite pillow are good things to have too. A bag full of snacks or lunch.

Good luck! I hope you have as much success with ivig as I have. I've only had a headache two times and I've been going for a year now. It sure makes me sleepy though!

OK, it took 4 hours and I am tired have a headache and my neck hurts sure hope my wife don't have no plans for me tonight I'll get me a motel room!!!! Really it wasn't that bad just boring like most of you all said I have to go again tomorrow and Friday not sure about next week. Thank you all for the reply's and advice. I think tomorrow I may take some beer and pretzels they have a DVD maybe some good westerns .

Well hopefully it will help is all I ask I just would like to do some of the things I used to. That is what they said today they are working to do for me. I understand it is not a cure but a way to control this thing that we have. I sure do think alot of you people you have helped me understand alot of things and shared your experience with me Thank you. I really do care for you all and I think of all of you everyday, you all are a special part of my life and another part of my family. I guess I am go to bed now very tired and my head hurts worse now than when I look in a mirror. We're all going to be alright!
