Increased heartbeat

I just wondering if anyone have experienced increased heartbeating together with MG or Mestinon?
Lately I have that on and off. Sometimes then I lay down and sometimes then Im standing. I noticed that were is a connection between my weakness and the heartbeating. I got sick in a cold and the last days I have been so tiered and much more weakness, at the same time this rapid heartbeating come again. Some times I think its beacause of the Mestinon, but its usually between the doses. I can also get twitchings in the muscle when the Mestinon is leaving the body.
Its all make me very confused.

Hi there.....What dosage of mestinon do you take? may need to be adjusted? They may be causing the fast heartbeat or you said you have col/flu which could also be adding to it....Also Im sure with all you have been thru stress has added to it which will make the heart beat faster for sure....I know I was soo stressed out in the beginning and still am at times my heart rate was over 100 everyday, so now have pill I take which has slowed it down alot....So those are some of my ideas for you..Hope you feel better soon...PS Also call your dr and let him or her know.... Generally mestinon slows the heart rate. It is a listed side effect.

Jvobrien - I take 60 mg Mestinon every third hour. I experience that the heartbeat have increased then the Mestinon has increased. I dont know but I do think I have some low blood pressure attacks also and maybe their is some connection. Also I live under big stress both with the symptoms, the medication, the doctors, the furture and so on so maybe thats a factor too.

Rhanson - Yes I have read that it usually gives slower heart rate.

Are you on any other medication other than the mestinon? I take imuran and experience those crazy palpitations mainly during night time but sometimes during the day too. Rapid heartbeat is considered a side effect of that medication.

No I dont have any other medications expect Mestinon, B12, D-vitamin. I had 114 heartbeat/minute in the morning, before even taken the Mestinon so I begin to think its my body trying to compensate for the weakness.

Hi Moortje,
Has your CO2 been measured? My sleep doc thought my high carbon dioxide in my blood was related to lung issues, especially during sleep. I sometimes wake up gasping for air with a heart rate of 120. My normal sleeping heartrate is 45-50. He thinks the CO2 builds up and is affecting my heart, which is what wakes me up so suddenly.

Fyi, I have an increased heartbeat too and am trying to figure it out as well . Cardio tests showed some abnormal wall in heart. We'll see...
