These last couple days I have been waking up with one of my nostrils congested and a pressure on my forehead that turns into a really really bad headache. I've noticed this only over the last 3 or 4 days. I have been on Imuran now for exactly 4 weeks. Did anyone else experience this on imuran? As well as it being a delayed side effect? Or do you think this has no relation?

Also, am i getting closer to experiencing relief from the Imuran? Exactly 2 weeks today i get my thymectomy... i am also open to suggestions and precautions for that as i am terrified!!

Sorry i would just like to add that a couple hours, sometimes only 1 hour later these dissapear... so i havent really connected them to being sick as they go away when i wake up

maybe a sinus infection headache.

Call your doc right away if you have these signs of infection

I do experience those that you listed. Is it caused by the imuran or a sinus infection?

I have pressure in my forehead, nasal congestion, and tenderness along upper cheekbones... i have all of those.

Imuran could lower your resistance to infection, but the headaches I got from Imuran were regular headaches that arrived when I started or increased dosage of the drug. I do not expect Imuran to be effective for 7 months after I started it, though I have seen 4-12 months thrown around. Always as your doc if you suspect infection! Hugs.

Well since this topic is here..

I'm discolored! Clearly its the Pred, but will Imuran help curb this? My belly's already poochy... splotches are NOT making me happy!

I need to add that I'm the worst with taking Imuran. Like... I've maybe taken 10 pills my whole Dx. I know. Bad Tristyn...

I have a lot of sinus trouble. Sounds like what you described here. Sometimes, mine goes away after I have been up for awhile also. Prednisone causes pain in the eyes, I read. Sorry, can't give you a link.

I started feeling better from taking Imuran in about 8 weeks. We are all different.
