I'm still here

Hi Everybody,

Just to let you know I'm still around. I've been trying to read your disscussions as much as possible. I just haven't been leaving many comments. Right now my life is very stressful. Mostly with family issues. I know stress is not good for me, but sometimes it cannot be helped. I've been doing ok health wise just very busy.

My dad has been having mini strokes and mom can't always take care of him so I help out as much as possible. We're looking into getting help, but it just takes time.

Some of you know I have two sisters that are breast cancer survivors. Well now one of them has a tumor on her ovary. She had a hysterectomy yesterday. We're still waiting for results of the biopsy. She may have to stay with me awhile after she gets out of the hospital, as she lives alone.

Sometimes I just can't stop crying. I started seeing a therapist and I'm on antidepressants. My family has taken care of me for all these years, now its my turn to help them.

I'm trying to keep up my strength, and get as much rest as I can. I know how important that is.

You have so much on your plate right now. I am so sorry for all the worries. I am praying that your sister fully recovers and that you can find some respit (spelling) for your father. Don't feel that you don't have time to take care of your own needs. I don't have to tell you what can happen. I have only heard people tell, but you don't want to get sick. I hope your spirits lift and you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's there, I promise. Just stick close to the people here and we will all keep reminding you. You are not alone. Oh dear Gail! I thought something was up when I have not heard from you, but with me not feeling good, I knew getting together wasn't a good idea anyway. I will put your sister on my prayer list. I am glad you are seeing a therapist. You've certainly had your plate full. Hugs.

Gail, I am so glad you let us know what is going on with you. I am sorrry there are so many stressors right now. It seems that they pop up when we least need them and they bring all their friends. I will pray for strength, health and hope for you and for the health of your family.

Hi Gail,

Best of luck with your family. I am glad you are still around and with us whether you post or not. Please do not hesitate to get help because I want you off the antidepressants. I wish you and all of us weren't taking drugs to help what ails us.

With so much going on I know that it is difficult but try to see as much positive as you can each day. Find a picture, music or whatever you can to make you smile at least a couple of minutes each day. It won't necessarily change what is going on in your life but it will make you feel a little better. Maybe sit and tell your dad a little reminder story of something that you and the family did when you were younger. Try and get a little smile or laugh where you can. That lets people know that you remember the good times with them during this difficult time.

Im so sorry to hear your going through so much.prayers to you and your family that things start to get better for you.i know stress and worries can sometimes get the best of us. i feel that way when i see what katelyn has to go through with MG it feels like we have our good days and we have our bad days. and i have learned in these past months that it is ok to cry. it may not be something we want to do i know for myself i tend to hold back tears just so my lil one doesnt see me cry but sometimes even that is hard.
