I know! The contrast for some text is not high enough for folks with great vision to see. How many groups here are having trouble reading it at all! I maintain a website at work and this new design would never pass accessibility standards in Canada. But some of us are still here, frustrated, but hoping for change. I've had my second opinion neurologist say "not MG, or metabolic or mitochondrial myopathy". He says it is just remnants from celiac disease! I asked how likely a Long Term Disability firm would approve celiac disease as a disabling condition. Yet I was very out of breath talking to him as I was 48 hours off Mestinon. He had no explanation as to why Mestinon helps. He says it doesn't work for mito, ALS or MS. I need a new doc and am trying to locate one that can cover MG plus something like mito as I have several overlapping conditions. How are you doing migurl? Have you found work? I'm still working but it gets more challenging each month. This month is a busy month for phone calls :)

I've submitted a few constructive suggestions for fixes but thus far, no replies, except for brief, system generated confirmations they received the message. One aspect I'm finding difficult is seeing which discussion topic has a recent reply or not. The page we used to have was excellent for that. This one does display info as to the latest post, but it's always incorrect and out of date. It means you almost have to read each discussion thread to keep yourself up to date. I must say, I'm still scratching my head as to how they felt this was an "improvement"?? I'll have to read my Dilbert book again!! lol.

I'm sorry to hear what you've been going through flutebell. I hope you can find the type of doc that can deal with all of your conditions. I know how you feel having gone through everything with my Hawaii employer. I am now working at The Ohio State University as a medical assistant. I am working with a wonderful doctor that is such a beautiful human being. Like you, working is getting to be soooooo difficult. Each day is harder than the one before. My husband hasn't found work yet so that puts and extra bit of extreme stress to my current situation too.

I hope that you find the right doctor. I know it's hard when your diagnosis is in question. I don't get to see my new NM specialist until September (almost a year after leaving Hawaii). I have to get ready for work now so I'm sorry to cut this short. Aloha!

The text is small and too washed out for comfortable reading. I do almost all of my online things on an iPad, so I can usually zoom to increase the text size for better viewing. Not so with this site for some unknown reason.

I am finding good, useful and easy to use discussion groups at neurotalk.org and md junction. You have to do the "sign up" routine and once logged in, a bit of digging ... to get to the MG page itself ... but I'm finding them as populated and useful by other MG'ers as we find here. Good luck to all of us ... in our continued quest for the support of our community.
