I called the Hospice at 6AM this morning to be informed that my dad died last night at 11:30PM. I called my cousin and just cried. Our families did everything together when we were younger. My pain is greater than I thought possible. I believe I am a strong independent person......now I need my daddy like I don't think I ever did before. I am at peace knowing that I spoke with him and shared my love for him that will keep me going forever and ever. He will always be in my heart, guiding me and showing me love. This site is one sure place where I can always feel loved.....thank you all....Barb

So sorry to hear about your father. My own father died in January at the age of 93 and I miss him terribly. I take comfort that I was able to be with him. Barb , I am sorry to hear the news of your Fathers passing , but I am relieved that you two had a great phone conversation and in a way said goodbye . Knowing you are loved by your daughter would make leaving easier and more peacefull. You did all you could do and more. Sympathy from my house to your's, hugs , Charlie
