Hold on to the belief that your Dad was comforted being able to speak with you a few days ago and he knew that you would be okay. It was probably as important to him as it was to you. Your pain will soften every day and the good memories will always be with you..

Barb, I am so very sorry. Like the others here, I feel so good that you had that wonderful contact with him. He is still your Daddy, he lives in your heart and always will.

Oh no!! I'm so sorry to hear that your dad passed. I know how difficult there move was to begin with and now this. I have been praying for you and your dad a lot lately. I know that you are relieved that he isn't suffering now but I can only imagine how devastated you are right now.

Your father was proud of you and loved you with all of his heart. That fact that you got the chance to talk to him was probably just what he needed to be at peace with his situation. So happy that hospice was there for him too. At least you know that he was being given comfort measures so that he wasn't suffering.

My heart goes out to you and I wish I could be there to give you a real hug. If you need to talk feel free to send me a fb message. I'm kind of in and out of naps but the sound will wake me up.
You should try to rest too because the emotional stress and emotions is going to take a lot out of you. Hugs!!

so sorry to hear this, Barb. My dad died 5 years ago and I still think of him almost every day, but now I have a warm happy feeling thinking of him. I feel him with me all the time. Right now it is so hard and the pain is so raw .I'm so glad you were able to speak with him before he passed. You need to grieve and take time for yourself. Get lots of rest and know your DS family is here for you.
