Sorry about your back. You did a good deed with the neighbor with Parkinsons. My father had that and in his last two years he fell a several times in the house and had to have help getting up. Luckily there was always a neighbor or relative who could come to help.
It is good for us to help out doing what we can, as there always seem to be people worse off than we are. My own health is pretty good right now, and so I help a 91 year old neighbor with his shopping and we go to lunch together once a week and take care of his errands and appointments.
It makes me feel good, and I do enjoy visiting with him and learning about his long and interesting life. I also spend some time helping others who have problems with their computers as that is what I did before retiring.
Hope you continue to improve and thank you for being concerned about others too. Sometimes we get turned so inward with our own problems we forget that helping others makes our lives better too.
Good Luck
Russ
