In the past, I would just jump in the car and go, and if I changed my mind and decided to stop at to ther places, no problem.
I have been running through my mind over and over trying to sort out all the pitfalls of attempting a trip to Walmart alone and probably with the assistance of one of those motorized scooters. I don't think walking the store will be an option for me since I have become so debilitated lately.
I knew that this moment would most likely be in my future, but didn't think it would be so soon.
I really need to go and get food and household items as I have not been in a store since early January and I am out of everything.
I am still in the process of psyching myself up for it, so wish me luck on my endeavors.

Lorraine, I went to look at the travel scoot, and that looks like something I may be interested in. As I was looking, I also ran across one called the Luggie. It folds up and does not have to be disassembled. It is slightly heavier than the scoot, but seems like it would be easier for me to handle.
Has anyone had any experience with the Luggie, good or bad?

I have heard good reports about the Luggie.It may be less expensive than the Travel Scoot.I had no difficulty disassembling the scooter several months ago but now find it too heavy.Fortunately my husband is able to help.

Linda and Lorraine... I did a bit of research on the TravelScoot and the Luggie. The TravelScoot is lighter, has no arms, does not appear to have a reverse setting, could be carried onto an airplane, and is less expensive in the US. The Luggie is heavier, has optional arms, has a reverse setting, would probably need to be checked at the airport, and is more expensive in the US. The TravelScoot looks a lot easier to manage and the Luggie looks a lot more comfortable to me. I would love to have one of them right now, but I am hopeful that I will not need one long term.
