How does everyone else react when you get sick or a cold? I'm finding that every single time, it makes it so that the meds don't work and I end up back in the hospital (although, this time it hasn't been 4 weeks between the two IVIG treatments, so not sure what they would do). I'm once again weak today, having a hard time walking and using my legs/arms. Does everyone else get super weak?

I prevent colds.
I haven't had a cold or illness all year.
I and everyone who enters our home. Washes hands immediately when they walk in house.
This has worked for my daughters house too because she has small children.
My doc told me to wear gloves in the grocery store because there are a lot of germs there. I don't wear gloves but I use sanitizer and wash when I get home.
I avoid anyone who has a cold and I have allergic reaction to animals so I avoid them.
Yes illnesses cause issues for us so we have to do whatever we can to stay healthy.
Hand wipes come in handy haha

Yes any illness makes it worse,does dr give you any guidelines for meds changes? I have 3 grandkids under 7 that I see /care for daily.minimal illness from them even on 40 prednisone. I cover my mouth with arm when they cough or anyone, turn my face when coughing or sneezing people around and hold my breath. Been very lucky except for utis but that's not contagious.hope you're feeling better

I was diagnosed around 4 months ago, and had a minor cold since but nothing too major. I am flying to Vegas in June (about 5 hours) and I am a little worried since the recycled air in the planes sometimes makes me ill. Any tips for flying?

Anything that challenges the immune system makes MG worse.

Seasonal allergies, illnesses (cold/flu), sinus infections, other autoimmune disorders (celiacs, etc).

As far as flying goes, I would make sure to stay hydrated.

Thanks, guys! I'm doing better as I'm on the down side of the cold. Meds are working again! Unfortunately I can't stay away from germs. I teach special needs students and have 4 of my own kids. I try as hard as possible to avoid germs, but at times there is no escaping them.
