For those interested, the Georgia Chapter is hosting a special meeting on Saturday, November 3, at Chamblee-United Methodist Church in Atlanta, GA. Onsite registration / check-in will begin at 11:15. Lunch will be at 11:45, and our speakers will begin at 12:30. The meeting is expected to end at 3. The registration fee is $15 for the first registrant and $10 for each additional registrant over age 12. Children age 12 and under are free. Lunch and childcare are included in the registration fee.
Our speakers will be Dr. Henry Kaminski, Chair of the Neurology Dept. t George Washington University and past chair of the MGFAs Medical / Scientific Board; Dr. Gary Cutter, Prof. of Biostatics at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, who is involved in the MG thymectomy trial and the development of an MG patient registry; and Dr. Charlene Hafer-Macko, Assistant Prof. of Neurology at the University of Maryland and a member of the MGFAs Medical / Scientific Advisory Board.

There are actually 3 speakers - Dr. Kaminski, Dr. Cutter, and Dr. Hafer-Macko. I think some are also coming for the opportunity to meet others in person. Whether that is worth flying in for the weekend? I think that's up to each individual.
