I got to come home late Monday night, (10:30pm) and slept so well that night. I struggled with mild migraines throughout my infusions but was able to control it with tylenol or tramadol.
Since Tuesday though, I have had a raging migraine. I have Sprix, which is a nasal spray Toradol. This has done nothing. I have Tramadol. This is doing nothing.
I have sensitivity to light, a very stiff neck and a low-grade fever.
I called my neuro office this morning. They are having me come in this afternoon for a shot - bring a driver they said.
Of course I Googled it. ~ Aseptic Meningitis is the thing that comes up over and over.
Anyone ever have this happen before?
I always try not to Google because it can scare the britches of you! So trying not to worry about it. :)
Hopeful for some relief this afternoon!

The treatment is just time, rest, lots of fluids, and pain relievers.
She said that next infusion, they will slow the rate even more - which the 5 day treatment already took 6 hours per day so that is pretty slow to me! :)
On the bright side, I got a shot and it has reduced the pain some. :)
Thankfully they were very sympathetic to my situation and gave me quite a cocktail of meds - Let's just sayI was feeling pretty good by the time I left there! They dr. was even aware that we needed to be careful of what pain meds to give me b.c of the MG ~ but I think he did give me one that is on the caution list just because we were needing something to give relief.
He had them give the meds to me via IV so they could give quick relief as well - of course I have the worse veins ever but they used a baby-sized IV needle and got a teeny vein in my hand.
I brought meds home with me as well.
