Hi
Has anyone experienced this ?- My eyes really are bothered by the lighting when shopping and going to meetings. When I went shopping yesterday I wore my sunglasses in the stores.

Autoimmune diseases can cause uveitis. It is an inflammation of the eyes, and can be very light sensitive and painful. If you have any symptoms like that, you need to see an ophthalmologist soon. It can be damaging to the eyes. I just went through all of that. I do hope you don't have any serious problems but it is worth checking out, and better safe than sorry. Hope you do well.

However, it is probably a good idea to check with an eye doctor to make sure that it isn't something else causing the problem.

My eyes seem quite sensitive to light, more so this year then last, and I have taken to wearing sunglasses during daily indoor Scrabble games when the sun is in the vicinity. This is indirect light but seems to get to me on the game board. I haven't had to do this in years past.
My eye doctor states my dry eyes make me more prone to this problem. I use restasis twice a day and an over the counter eye drop called systane in between. I keep sunglasses handy, in the car, in my purse and yes....now on the Scrabble table. Marie

My eyes are sensitive to outside light. I have to wear sunglasses.You should go to the eye doctor to rule out anything serious. God bless. Cabbage7

My eyes are sometimes sensitive to outdoor and indoor lights on occasion as well. Always have gotten my eyes tested regularly due to other conditions and have no problem with them except for the sometimes heightened sensitivity. Ears also are sensitive to loud noises.

I have been very senstive to ALL light and sound for a few years now. I keep ear plugs with me because loud noise make my MG flare. I can't leave the house with out my sun glasses. I had to change my ring tones on my cell phone when MG got so bad in the fall. The high pitched sounds made me jump.

Barbel,
Sensitivity to noise is one of the symptoms of stiff person syndrome. It may also be symptomatic of how loud our environment is, that people with normal hearing have problems. I got a speaker that I couldn't use because I can't turn it low enough.
