I would talk to the neuro, who we would expect would tell you to stop tapering for a few weeks or months and see what happens. If double vision or other MG symptoms come back, you are too low and you have learned you are probably just below the least effective dose.
I tapered and got MG symptoms back, raised the dose until they went away and then tapered again twice to try to figure out the minimum dose. Then something happened and the third taper I went to 0 with no MG returning and found I had gone into full remission.
If you are still at relatively high prednisone doses and MG symptoms return, it is likely that your neuro will suggest adding an alternate like cellcept or Imuran or ??. If you are quite low at prednisone (i.e. under 15 or so) and prednisone side effects are tolerable, you can just stay at the level that works.
Good Luck
