So after my dad was diagnosed with Myasthenia, they discovered a tumor in his kidney.  They finally got him to a specialist and he got the plasma transfer 3 days in a row and plasma donation on the last day so he could get his surgery.  Since the plasma transfers he has not been exhibiting any of his previous symptoms from the Myasthenia.  Last night we had to rush him to the ER however because he was extremely flushed, nauseated by food, refused to eat, feeling nauseated and dizzy, and extremely pale.  He has been so weak since the surgery he can barely get out of his chair.  They did the entire work up at the ER but did not find anything and sent him home.  I am wondering if since he is not experiencing any of the Myasthenia symptoms but is still taking Mestinon 5 times a day as well as Prednisone if he might be having side effects??  Unfortunately the neurologist he has is absolutely impossible to get a hold of and now will not even let you leave a message.  Has anyone had any of these symptoms from Mestinon or Prednisone?  My dad is not eating and has lost 26 pounds.  He looks like a rag doll and I wonder if we should cut back on the medications??
