Myasthenia Gravis Support Group
Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a neuromuscular disease leading to fluctuating muscle weakness and fatiguability. The hallmark of myasthenia gravis is muscle weakness that increases during periods of activity and improves after periods of rest. Although myasthenia gravis may affect any voluntary muscle, muscles that control eye and eyelid movement, facial expression, and...
The leg cramping is more likely from that then it is cellcept.
You may need to reduce your mestinon. 7 weeks is long enough to see some results from cellcept. I did not realize my cellcept was working until I reduced my mestinon.
If that doesn't work, maybe you could change brands or go name brand cellcept? I have taken name brand fir 2.5. Yrs no issues except loose bowels in the beginning.
Hope you feel better soon!

Please put a call in to your neuros office. I hope your discomfort will be resolved soon.
Take care.

Yesterday, I felt so bad I didn't take my evening dose of the generic cellcept. Maybe I could cut my dose in half until I see the doctor next monday. I don't think that would make a whole lot of difference and I might fell better.
The reason I mentioned my weight, it seems like everyone takes around the same amount of cellcept no matter what size person you are.
Thank you again for your input and ideas. I want something to work soooo bad.

I am slowly getting better, but I'm also on IVIG. I belive it's the IVIG that has made all the difference for me. In Aug 2012 I had a thymectomy, and so I should see some results in the next year or so from that. It's kind of like I'm hitting the MG with everything I've got! My neuro would like for me to increase my cellcept when we know it's ok (based on my liver tests), in order to speed the recovery. Recovery is a nice word isn't it? Also, I've tried to take more Mestinon to clear out a specific weakness, but it doesn't always work for a specific weakness and I do get the Mestinon affects if I take too much.
Be well,
You are taking a lot of mestinon (Not too much, but for true stability, I believe this must be reduced). The key is getting stable. I was taking that much Mestinon and more also. I had cramps and others had same. You can always do IVIG or something to push this disease back and let cellcept do its thing. I take about 120 mg of mestinon a day currently. I played two sets of tennis last week in 80 degree weather and I could not chew, swallow, eyelid closure, move swiftly without collapsing before cellcept and a round of IVIG.
Be careful.
Peace,
TJ
I've read everyones postings and maybe I am taking to much mestinon. I'll take my regular dose of cellcept tonight and call the doctor tomorrow. I thought for sure it was the generic cellcept that was giving me all this cramping.
This support group is unbelievable. Many, many thanks for suggesting it might be the mestinon.
