That being said, my nurse was telling me that there is something called Joe water that is just caffeinated water. Have not tried it, but she says they have it at Walgreens. I may pick some up before my next IVIG and avoid all of those artificial sweetners. Too hard to brew tea during infusions and I only have a one cup coffee brewer too.

The idea is that caffeine on a small scale basis can act similar to Mestinon. On a large scale basis if combined with too much Mestinon it can send a Myasthenic into cholinergic crisis. Cholinergic crisis is basically Myashthenic crisis as a result of excess doses of a cholinesterase inhibitor.

Mestinon and some caffeine = good (that is dependent on how each person deals with Mestinon and caffeine)
Mestinon and tons of caffeine = bad (meaning large doses like caffeine pills or multiple cups of Starbucks Pikes Peak coffee could if combined with Mestinon and depending on your individual health could send you into Myasthenic crisis)
