Myasthenia Gravis Support Group
Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a neuromuscular disease leading to fluctuating muscle weakness and fatiguability. The hallmark of myasthenia gravis is muscle weakness that increases during periods of activity and improves after periods of rest. Although myasthenia gravis may affect any voluntary muscle, muscles that control eye and eyelid movement, facial expression, and...
The MG is about the area between the muscles and the receptors. The MG attacks the asidacoline(I think that is what it is and I know spelling is wrong ) which decreases the ability of the muscles getting the correct message.
That is how I best explain it to myself.

it is true
The antibodies attack the the asidacoline. The mestinon replaces the asidacoline. Rest replenishes it. That is why rest helps us so much.
If our mucles were in someone else they aren't weak..That is just how they describe the problem of muscle waekness because our muscles feel weak because of what is happening in the area betwenn muscles and receptors.

Yes it is scary

Our bad antibodies attach to receptor.
Causing interferance.
