Well were to start she was really good looking shame I wasn't seeing double two of her would have been nice WOW!!!! OK she wants me off the prednizone and start azathioprine 50mg 3 times a day she uped my mestinon 120mg 3 times a day and I have heard you all speak of this but wants me to do a IVIG treatment. I also I think I have known it a while I just wanted a doctor to tell me but my MG has generalized. My other neuro would have never came right out and told me that and would more than likely kept me on the prednizone. Did I say she was good looking? Well other than that it has been a long day and I am happy with all that I found out she was very informative and was talking to me so I would understand and I was just listning to her and watching her mouth move and didn't understand a word. I did say she was good looking right? Now has anyone heard or taken azathioprine and what is a IVIG and what will it do to me she was talking but I wasn't listening I was hoping my wife was cause she was really good looking!! What a day!

im still waiting for a NEURO. appt. if she is that good looking maybe i can catch a flight out...lol i know my weakness is all over,,,arms legs etc, and ive been playing around with the dosage of mestinon, and it seems that 60 mgs a day at 5 times a day works for me...so illl stay there for while,,,i know my local dr doesnt want me on prednisone at all......a while back my wife and i visited our dr and we both got prednisone to take with antibiotics,,,,after 3 days i couldnt even lift myself out of bed,,,,,,my muscles jut wouldnt work,,i got off the prednisone and everything returned to normal,,,,.....guess we all have our stories,, i know i learn so much reading what works for this person and what another person takes, etc,,,,,,people sharing with each other really helps us new MGers....,the best to ya my friend........terry

60 mg five times a day with generalized symptoms is just begging for help. I hope you get to see that neuro soon. It may be that you can still take prednisone, if it were the antibiotic making you weak or if starting on high doses of prednisone--sometimes that makes you worse before better. If you are confused, so are we all. This disease makes no sense. There are other treatments for acute problems and some people cannot tolerate prednisone at all. It will have to be all discussed with your neuro and I hope your visit is as interesting as bear's! Listen, however, if you can! ;-). b
