Carvedilol is described in medical reviews, as a med that must be used with caution - with MG'ers.
The Carvedilol doses were started low, at 6.25mg, twice a day. After a while, the dose was upped to 12.5mg, 2 x daily. Since I seemed to tolerate the Carvedilol, the doses were then 18.75mg. Then 25mg, where I am today.
I've been on this 25mg, 2 x daily - for many months now. In that same time frame, my MG symptoms have actually declined.
At the same time, my heart has been slowly mending itself (blockages). Carvedilol is helping.
True: Nitro-Ointment and Carvedilol are different meds, but both have the affect of relaxing muscle. In my case - it seems to be of decent benefit.
Wishing you the best!
