The other day I contacted the local MGA Foundation, spoke with them & they were very helpful. They sent me a packet in the mail that I've been reading through & there was a list of meds to avoid rated from 1-5, I believe. Amazingly, I am taking gabapentin which my neuro prescribed for an unrelated reason & I saw it on the list, so I stopped taking it & 3 days later my eye opened up & has been open ever since!! After 19 days of my eye being closed!!

Good for you! You may consider: 1) having MGA send the same packet that they sent to you... to your neuro. 2) finding a neuro associated with a teaching hospital. HG007

HG007-May 17 I will be going to a different neurologist whose specialty is MG & they actually have a clinic for MG patients. The MGA Foundation is sending an advocate to meet with me for my first appointment, so thankful!

Thinking of all each of you have gone through helps me to endure!

Be thinkIng of you on may 17 hoping for better Dr but then again how many neuros see difficult mgers. I was lucky in that when it went beyond eyes she sent me right to spec!but I really miss her she was just awesome Dr and person. For about 4 yrs we emailed 2 -3 times a year. About mg, families etc.
