I've read some MGers don't have trouble, others seem to have a lot. I'd risk blotchiness for a pint of Guinness, but not shortness of breath. In this case I think your body's answer is more important than a doctor's. Maybe it's the type of drink +/- MG, but it's doubtful Mestinon is the problem.

;)
I'll try top shelf liquor and see how that goes next time!
Before i started imuran and prednisone this was already happening to me with just Mestinon. I don't think its the MG, i think its the Mestinon. Sometimes it happens for me, other times it doesn't. At first i thought wine was the trigger... now i couldnt really tell you what it is because it happens with beer too now.
I can usually have one drink slowly. The more alcohol the more effects. I think it is like our MG - each person is different. Some types of alcohol seem to be a little worse and some days the same alcohol reacts worse.
If you are going to drink anyway make sure it is with someone who knows about your MG and how alcohol reacts with Mestinon. I have friends that know how I react and they still push me to drink. I just have to know to stick to my guns when I need to.
