I wonder if finding the balance point for a med for us (something that is hard to do and takes months to years) and then increasing it just a little would be a reasonable strategy so we weren't so easily tipped into symptoms.
I got MG when I was 65, and luckily after a year, was in the 15% that go into remission and I have been in remission now for 4.6 years. I tolerated prednisone OK, and thought that at my age, it might be better to err on taking a little too much than to little. My neuro thought that the side effects of prednisone made erring on the side of too little better as mestinon could supplement it when things got worse.
